Yearly cost of subscriptions: what you pay annually
Monthly subscription bills feel small when they hit, but they add up to surprising annual totals. See what streaming services, gym memberships, and apps actually cost per year.

How the math works
A monthly subscription is multiplied by 12 to get the year. $15.99 a month is $191.88 a year. A yearly subscription like Amazon Prime stays as you pay it: $139.99 once is $139.99 per year.
Per Year does this for every bill you enter: streaming services, gym memberships, cloud storage, meal kits, music apps, photo backups, and any other recurring subscription.
Finding hidden subscriptions
Many households lose track of what they're subscribed to. Check your credit card statements for recurring charges, look for yearly renewals that charged but got forgotten, and check App Store or Google Play subscriptions for mobile apps you no longer use.
The free calculator on this site lets you type every subscription you find and see the yearly total immediately. The one-time Annual Bills Plan (30-day refund) adds a forgotten-bills checklist, a monthly set-aside calendar, needs vs wants, ways to save, and a 5-year outlook.
What to do with the yearly total
Once you have the yearly cost, compare it to your take-home income. If subscriptions are 5% or more of your income, you have room to cut. Look for services you signed up for during a trial and forgot, family plans you could share, or duplicate services (two music apps, three streaming platforms with overlapping shows).
The Scenario Lab in the one-time plan report models 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year savings from canceling specific bills, so you can see the long-term effect of small monthly cuts.
