How it's calculated

Deterministic arithmetic only — no averages from other users, no AI estimates.

  • Weekly → year: amount × 52
  • Monthly → year: amount × 12
  • Yearly: amount as entered
  • Monthly total: yearly total ÷ 12 (rounded)
  • Left per month: take-home − listed monthly total
  • Tightest month: take-home − that month's bill outflow (annual bills land in their due month)

Assumptions: 52 weeks and 12 months per year; optional take-home is what you type; example prices are labeled research figures, not your data. Full methodology.

Questions about this calculator

Is this monthly expenses calculator free?

Yes. Add every bill, change each price, and read both the monthly and yearly totals without paying. The one-time Annual Bills Plan is optional.

How does a monthly bill become a year?

A monthly amount is multiplied by 12. A weekly amount is multiplied by 52. A yearly amount stays as you typed it.

Do I need to link my bank?

No. Per Year does not connect to your bank or store your list on a server for the free calculator. You type each bill; it stays on this device until you choose to buy the plan.

What is the Annual Bills Plan?

One payment unlocks a forgotten-bills checklist, monthly set-aside calendar for your heaviest month, needs vs wants, ways to save, and a 5-year outlook. One-time, not a subscription, with a 30-day refund.

Can I compare bills to take-home pay?

Yes. Enter monthly take-home income to see what share of take-home goes to the bills you entered, how much is left before other spending, and leftover in your tightest month. The free calculator shows those numbers; the Annual Bills Plan adds the full set-aside calendar.
