Include the fees that are not “dues”
Initiation fees, annual maintenance fees, towel or parking add-ons, and trainer packages belong on the list if you pay them. Enter annual fees with yearly cadence so they do not disappear between January renewals.
If you share a family membership, put the full household amount on one line rather than guessing a per-person split unless you need that for reimbursement.
Compare to the rest of health spending
BLS reports average healthcare spending of $6,197 per consumer unit in 2024, mostly insurance and medical services — not gym dues. Still, fitness lines compete with the same monthly cash as copays and prescriptions.

Questions
How do I convert a monthly gym fee to a yearly cost?+
Multiply the monthly dues by 12. Add any separate annual fee once. Per Year does that multiplication when you set the cadence to month or year.
Do you publish an average U.S. gym price?+
No. Rates vary by brand and city. This page uses clearly labeled editable examples only.
